Thousands of people drive over this site on State Route 36 every day and most have never seen this historic stone railroad tunnel under the road. The top image was taken from the street level using a 360-degree camera and 10 foot long camera mast. The camera mast was used to place the camera directly over the Kokosing Gap Trail Bike Path in order to capture a photo of tunnel while showing the state route in the same image. This location is one of the most photographed sites on the trail.
The photo below was taken from inside the stone tunnel below state route 36. This historic site is located within 1.5 miles of the Apple Valley Lake in the village of Howard, Ohio at the intersection on Coshocton Road and Howard-Danville Road.
