VA Home Loans are the focus and primary topic on our Two Minutes on Tuesday episode today. Many qualified Veterans are not aware that they can use the VA home loan more than once. This can be especially beneficial if they have a need to move into a larger home or if they are relocating to an area of more expensive homes. Did you know that VA has an option called EEM (Energy Efficient Mortgage) where you can finance specific energy efficient improvements into your home purchase. Examples would be replacing an old outdated furnace with a new high efficiency furnace, hot water tank, energy efficient windows and doors, insulation and many other improvements could qualify for the EEM mortgage. As part of the EEM program, many lenders will want to verify that the benefits of the planned upgrades offset the costs.
